It's been a while since we've heard from Brolin. The previously-masked, ever enigmatic singer-producer released his debut album, The Delta, to critical acclaim towards the end of 2015 and now he is back with cover of Cindy Lauper's 80's mega hit 'Time After Time'. As a self-taught bedroom producer, Brolin has always had a knack for atmospheric, soulful electronically-driven pop. Breathing new life into the anthemic classic, he uses his characteristically hushed vocal and typically sparse production to build into a moving encounter that both chills and inspires. The release (nd its suitably touching visuals) comes as part of a three-track single due 8 July and is yet another example of Brolin's gossamer talent. -G.O'B
